Who we are

Trade for Trade is a peer-to-peer skill-bartering platform: members swap skills and services directly with each other, and no money changes hands. For anything related to your privacy or personal data, contact privacy@tradefortrade.net.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and a display name. Everything else is optional and only stored if you choose to add it: your country, a bio, links to your LinkedIn, YouTube, or GitHub accounts, and an avatar image.

We also store the content you create on the platform: your listings, the reviews you write after trades, and any reports or flags you submit.

How we use it

We use this data to run your account, show your public profile and listings to other members, enable trades between members, send essential transactional email (signup confirmation and password reset), and handle moderation and disputes.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use three service providers, and no others:

  • Supabase — our hosting infrastructure: database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Resend — sends our transactional email.
  • Google— only if you choose “Sign in with Google”. We receive basic profile information from Google, such as your name and email address, to create your account.

Cookies

We use one cookie category: the essential authentication session cookie that keeps you logged in. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

What's publicly visible

Your display name, profile details, and listings are publicly visible to anyone — including people without an account. Choose a display name you're comfortable showing publicly. If you sign up with Google, your display name defaults to your first name only; you can change it any time in your settings.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile and its associated data.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email privacy@tradefortrade.net and we'll take care of it.
